Claire Daly hitting at Dizzy's for new CD

Claire Daly with her band will play at Dizzy's Club Coca Cola at Jazz at Lincoln Center June 21-25th, 11pm nightly, featuring her new CD, "Mary Joyce Project: Nothing to Lose."

Claire Daly's band appeared in Juneau, Alaska, at the Jazz and Classics Festival and for two weeks of playing and clinics in mid-May, 2011, to launch her new CD, "Mary Joyce Project: Nothing to Lose." It is an homage to Daly's second cousin, who did a 1,000 mile dogsled trip from Juneau to Fairbanks in 1935/6.

Claire Daly was also recently nominated for a Jazz Journalist Award for baritone saxophonist of the year.

Claire Daly will be teaching at the Litchfield Jazz Camp from July 10 - August 5th, 2011.
