Memorial Services for Clem DeRosa Scheduled for May

There will be a Memorial Service in Long Island for Clem DeRosa:

A short service and food and drink will be provided. All friends of Clem who would like to attend the service are welcome. Please RSVP so they can estimate the crowd.

Another memorial service for legendary jazz educator Clem DeRosa has been scheduled for the evening of May 21 at 7pm at St. Peter’s Church in New York City, N.Y. DeRosa, a veteran of big band jazz ensembles who appeared on the Tonight Show and at the Newport Jazz Festival, pioneered the world of jazz education and founded the International Association for Jazz Education and was inducted into its hall of fame in 1990.
