MSM Kenton Innovations Concert Tribute to Clem DeRosa

On Friday, January 27th, 2012 the Manhattan School of Music Jazz Philharmonic Orchestra performed part of a Stan Kenton Centennial Concert. The concert was dedicated to the late Founder of AJV, Clem DeRosa.
Ed Bride writes "It is worthy to note that the program was dedicated to IAJE co-founder and Kenton associate Clem DeRosa, who passed away just before Christmas. Justin DiCioccio, associate dean at MSM and head of the jazz department, was starting to tell of Clem's impact on jazz education, but the emotions got the best of him. He did say that, were it not for Clem, he (Justin) would not be standing there, conducting this program."
